I have been in the real estate business for many years and what is happening to our market is unlike any of those many years. The basic market is the same as it has been for the last several months. PRICES REMAIN STEADY AT ALL LEVELS. If a home is not in top condition, buyers will be interested in a really good deal. Maybe 10% to 20% lower, than the list price. The difference in our current market seems to be the general lack of interest buyers have in todays real estate values.
Interest rates are still low and it is within reason to try to get a loan to purchase a home.
Last month there were 15 homes sold over $350,000 in our Davis County area. About the same as the month before. These homes were on the market for an average of 185 days and sold for a price $ 98.61 per sq ft.
The average price for all homes was down about %5
The period March to April listed a total of 275 homes sold,as mentioned previously almost 250 were under $350,000.
New listings during the past month were 744. that is not counting the listings that were on the books previous to March, which brings us to a total of about 1965 homes for sale in our DAVIS county area
